There is a lady who lives close by, she adores animals, especially horses. She actually owns several. She has been a great friend to me long before the rescue was formed. When she heard that we had gone to Canada and planned to bring home over 60 horses, she told us that we were living her dream. She came right over and helped us with every load and with every load she picked out a dream horse or two.
We can not figure out just how many more she is going to eventually adopt, because she finds something very special in every one of them. I have sworn in blood to never reveal her name in public, until she has found a way to explain her extreme need to adopt so many to her husband. But regardless of this fact she works very hard to give all of her animals a wonderful life and promises them all forever homes. In the meantime she is keeping the her horses here at the farm. She sometimes visits late in the evening to feed them carrots, brush them and ask around if anyone else wants her to be their new mommy. You never know what they are talking about down at the barn at midnight, but she has made lots of friends by giving extreme butt rubs in the dark.
Well this is really about all that I can tell you about some lucky horses and our mystery adopter here. She looks for every clue to find her next adoptee, just last week while dining at a Chinese restaurant she took the following message as an omen:
